It got its moniker “Enchanted River” from the diplomat Modesto Farolan who described the river in his poem entitled “Rio Encantado”. The aforesaid however is situated in the nook of Brgy. Talisay, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
This river undoubtedly gives enchantment to the residents and tourist due to its clear turquoise water.
At midday, when the Hinatuan Hymn is played using an amplifier, the people who are enjoying the water are being requested to get off away from it; for school of fish from its infinite bowel has to appear and to have a sort of an assemblage by the riverbank to friskily gobble the casted foods.
Needless to say, that scenario is an additional attraction that gives pleasure to those who visit the place.
